Barry was a neighbor and friend of mine and my husbands for a good year. During that time, I got to know him well. He had a great funny outgoing crazy personality which made us laugh. He was pretty blunt and real as a person. I do remember his daughter also, and how much he adored her and had her in his arms. She would play a lil with my kids, but never long from her daddys arms. He moved and said he was gnna make it work for Carlye and we never did see him again. We moved to west texas also, and just found out the news a lil late. Either way it is a shock and great sadness to lose such a free graceful spirit. My condolences go out to his family and friends. He was a great guy and I'm sorry yall had to lose such a wonderful person,son,father.....I hope justice is served and u can sleep at ease knowing its over.....God be with u all, Rest with the angels Barry.

My mom, Lisa, was married to Barry's uncle, Tim, for about 20 years. Throughout that time, I would see Barry a few times each year, usually during the holidays. Being about 6 months apart, he was someone to chat with during these holiday celebrations and was always very sweet. I remember one of the first times I was around him (at Christmas), he told me he had gotten this new gadget for the computer and if I wore a sticker on my forehead, I could control the computer with my mind. Being young and naive, and thinking this guy that I barely knew would surely not be pulling my leg, I put the sticker on my forehead and attempted to work the computer. He got quite a kick out of that! I also remember us sneaking out of holiday celebrations and listening to music in my mom's car. I specifically listening to his Guns and Roses album. Anyway, I have fond memories of Barry. I was so sad to hear the news of what happened. My condolences go out to all of Barry's family and friends.

This week, it was officially a year since you've been gone... i cant descirbe the heartache it still brings to me and everyone who knew you. We all still miss you more than ever. You meant more to me and my family than i think you ever knew. You were like family to me in so many ways. And you already knew, of course, that Carlye means the world to me. You'd always tell me that i was one of the most beautiful girls you'd ever met and you didnt know what in the world you were gonna do when Carlye grew up and became just as beautiful. You made me promise I'd be there for her as she grew up, and no matter WHO tries to stand in the way of that, I wont break that promise to you Barry. Carlye and I miss you so muchh; she actually asked Santa Clause to please bring her daddy back for Christmas. It truely broke my heart into pieces when she told me that. No matter what, we'll always love you and miss you. And rest assured that we wont stop until "the person" who did this to you pays, and Carlye is safe and happy. I love you so much Barry. "Know whadda mean, maaan?" (:

This is truly very sad and shocking. I remember Barry as a very cool and happy kid. Whenever I would come over, I would always share a laugh with him. Won't ever forget when David was at work, I spent a day hanging out with him and helping him get stuff for his truck he was rebuilding. He was so passionate about it and I really admired that quality in him. It's been several years since I saw him last, but my memory of him will always be of a smiling kid.
